We've just received the specifications and some tech briefing on the forthcoming 2008 Kawasaki GTR1400 mega tourer. The basics are - a low-compression ZZR1400 motor with smaller throttle bodies and a variable valve timing system to boost low-down grunt, in a clever shaft-drive chassis loaded with trick touring goodness. The bike has been built to commemorate the Saturn Apollo missions and subsequent moon landing in 1969 and not only looks like a mini shuttle but goes like one too. The machine's undergone some serious engine tuning work, giving the ZZR a claimed power output of 350bhp.
